Dear Friends & Race Enthusiasts,
Spirit's "Race For The Children" is proud to present our 2001 off-road racing
sponsorship investment proposal.

Your company will benefit from our winning record and strong relationship with the
A.B. and Jessie Polinsky Children's Center in San Diego, California. This incredible
organization is San Diego County's premier receiving home for abused and
abandoned children. As a result of our sponsorships and our winning 2000 season,
Race For The Children donated over $25,000 to this wonderful children's
center, helping fund some very beneficial, and needed children's programs.

Spirit's Race for the Children 2001 goal is to provide your company with the
maximum exposure possible in the world of competitive off-road racing. Coverage
of this exciting, growing sport includes major electronic media, including television,
cable and radio, plus a variety of print media, live audiences and multiple publicity
appearances.

Please take a minute to review our strong team credentials which resulted in
a winning record for 2000, and then please contact us for further information about
how this opportunity, no matter at what level you participate, can help you achieve
your marketing goals for 2001.

Sincerely,
Nancy Shearer, Team Manager

THE TEAM

The Spirit/Race For The Children Team gives 110% to every effort. Prepping, racing, chasing and logistics all get the team's undivided attention to detail. The integrity, leadership, and knowledge of our team is well-known and unsurpassed in the industry. Every member of the team is an outstanding addition to the whole. Team members utilize 4x4 chase vehicles with FM band radios for direct communications with the race truck, stationary pits, and radio relay personnel. The number of members on the team varies from event to event. During large events, our ranks can easily expand to 25 or more. Although our numbers may change, our effort and quality remain constant. We invite you to become a part of our effort, and be prepared to win.

Team Goals
  • Continue to give financial support to the Polinsky Children's Center.
  • Continue to advance awareness about child abuse prevention.
  • Achieve 2001 championships in both SCORE and Best In The Desert.
  • Win as many races as possible.
  • Finish every mile of every race entered.
  • Conduct racing efforts in a professional and sportsmanlike manner.

The Driver

Jeremy Spirkoff, driver, fabricator, and engineer, grew up in the sport of off-road. Joining his father's Spirit team in 1984, Jeremy first made his mark in fabrication. Later, he proved himself again as the Pit Boss of the award-winning B.F.Goodrich/Spirit Off-Road Support Team.

Jeremy has designed and fabricated roll cages, suspension systems, and steering systems. He has built hundreds of components and assemblies for consistently finishing and winning race vehicles. Some of Jeremy's acclaimed successes include the FORD F150 NITE Truck, the ROTHMAN'S BRONCO, the ‘92 FORD IMAGE Truck, the FORD EXPLORER CONCEPT Vehicle, and the B.F.GOODRICH BRONCO PRE-RUNNER. He designed and built the most winning stock full and stock mini trucks ever raced in off-road, the OLLIGES' FORD LIGHTNING Race Truck, and the LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT (LASD) RANGER Race Truck.

Jeremy has been an effective driver and co-driver in a number of Spirit and private efforts. In 1997, his driving and co-driving abilities helped clinch the LASD Stock-Mini Championship title for the third year in a row.

At 29 years of age, his debut as driver of record for Race For The Children, proved to be yet another winning effort, culminating in his being proclaimed SCORE Rookie of the Year in 2000.

One thing is for sure, when you run with Jeremy Spirkoff, you are running with a winner!

Co-Driver & Team Manager

Nancy Shearer just couldn't stay out of the garage. From the time she was 15, she always had some automotive project on the burner. First she rebuilt the motor in her grandmother's ‘56 Chevy. Then she gave her ‘69 VW a suspension lift. When the other girls were reading Glamor, she was reading Street Rod.

In 1989, Nancy traded in her 280 Mercedes for a Ford F150 4x4 long bed, and the rest is history. She joined Spirit Racing in 1990, and has held every position there from Main Chase, to Pit Boss, to Team Manager. It comes as no surprise that Jeremy chose her to be his co-driver in the Race For The Children project vehicle. She is well qualified for the job, and as enthusiastic as they come.

MARKETING OBJECTIVES & ADVANTAGES

Objectives

  • To market sponsor your company in such a way as to build awareness of your name and products.
  • To maximize your sales, marketing and exposure opportunities.
  • To help motivate employee productivity, and enhance employee relations.

Advantages

A Spirit race truck is a moving billboard. Spirit/Race For The Children offers maximum exposure through:

  • TV Broadcasting
  • Live Audiences
  • Print Media
  • Publicity Appearances
  • Association with Polinsky Center
  • Field Testing

TV Broadcasting - - Television reaches a larger audience than any other medium. This year both the SCORE and Best In The Desert series will be televised on SPEEDVISION. SPEEDVISION is the first and only 24-hour cable Network devoted to the millions of people who love cars, boats, airplanes and motorcycles. SPEEDVISION features authentic coverage of major events; the stars and people who make it all happen; what's going on behind the scenes, and much, much more.

American consumers spend a staggering $700 billion a year on cars, trucks, and after-market parts and accessories, while advertisers in the automotive category spend an equally impressive $10.5 billion to reach this market. As the only Network dedicated to the passions of these consumers, SPEEDVISION serves as a major entertainment and information resource for this lucrative market. SPEEDVISION currently boasts 31 million subscription viewers and anticipates 34 million viewers by mid-2001.

Live Audiences - - Thousands upon thousands of people attend the racing events in the SCORE and Best In The Desert off-road series. The Baja 1000, the largest of the SCORE races brings $7 million to the town of Ensenada alone. Many race patrons like to gather in the pits to get a closer view. Fans are eager to be like the racers they admire. They notice which products a team is using and endorsing. In addition, the largest companies in America recognize the value in supporting popular athletes. You, too, can get in on the action. Motorsports fans are extremely brand conscience and loyal. Sponsor our effort and let the public see your logo on our moving billboard.

Print Media - - Spirit/ Race For The Children has carefully cultivated relationships with many automotive journalists. This past year, our efforts received excellent coverage in the San Diego Union Tribune, Trucking Times & Sport Utility News, Dusty Times, Off Road Advertiser, Dune Buggies and Hot VWs, www.Off-Road.com, www.SCORE-International.com, and www.BITD.com. Readers relate to and emulate the racers they see in various print media. Imagine your logo appearing in an action photo featured in a national or international magazine. You couldn't get a better advertisement if you paid for it.

Publicity Appearances - - The Spirit/ Race For The Children Team and vehicle make guest appearances at a variety of community events. Guest appearances at shopping centers, car shows, trade shows, and special sponsor functions, expose our sponsors to a wide range of audiences. We show our sponsors to the world.

Association with the A.B. and Jessie Polinsky Children's Center - - The Polinsky Children's Center is San Diego County's receiving home for abused and abandoned children. Each month children ages birth to seventeen are brought to Polinsky Children's Center (PCC) because it has been determined by law enforcement or an emergency response social worker that the need for protection exists. PCC provides services to children who have been: physically, sexually, and/or emotionally abused, medically or physically neglected, and/or have no parent or guardian. When you sponsor Race For The Children you directly help PCC and you advance awareness about child abuse prevention. What better place to display your logo than next to "Race For The Children". Your sponsorship dollars will provide you with more than just a great advertising opportunity, they will give you a chance to show your company cares for the community and it's future, the children, for there is no greater cause than the children!

Field Testing - - Do you have a product you would like tested in a harsh environment.? Welcome to off-road racing. We can put your product to the ultimate test in the most formidable driving situations.

corporate sponsorship dollars. Whether it's to enhance corporate image or to
garner more brand exposure, racing has proven to be a cost effective, high profile,
dynamic program that offers a variety of benefits. Auto racing is the only sport that
provides the corporate sponsor with so many ways to merchandise and market its
racing association.
  • Vehicles serve as moving billboards for the sponsors logo, not only at the track, but also on national television and in various media
  • Driver and team uniforms give prominent display of sponsorship logo
  • Transporters that carry the vehicles from event to event provide moving advertisements
  • Drivers and crews support sponsors by wearing corporate and brand apparel at functions away from the races
  • Spectators have easy access to their favorite drivers and teams helping to build intense loyalty to both the team and its sponsors
  • Products are showcased at events through exhibits and hospitality functions
Exposure Through Racing
Auto racing is the number 1 and still fastest growing spectator sport in the
United States with over 80 million fans attending events every year. Only NFL
playoffs and college bowl games have a higher percentage of television sport
viewers per household than auto racing.
